Speaking on the Here We Go Podcast, Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Albert Sambi Lokonga has told Atalanta and Napoli that his priority is to join Arsenal this summer.
The midfielder has been strongly linked with a move to north London, and it seems as though the player is keen to make this move happen.
What’s been said?
Romano says that Lokonga is a wanted man, with both Napoli and Atalanta contacting him, but he’s reportedly told them that his priority is to move to Arsenal.
“Lokonga is 100% open to joining Arsenal. He would love to join Arsenal, he was contacted by Italian clubs, Napoli and Atalanta, but he said ‘my priority is Arsenal’, so let’s see if Arsenal will decide to complete the deal in the next days,” Romano said.

Get it done
It seems as though there’s no reason for Arsenal to not push this signing through.
The club want the player and the player wants the club, it seems to be a perfect storm for a signing.
Of course, this is Arsenal we’re talking about and if any club was to fumble a situation like this it would be the Gunners, but barring a dramatic turn of events, it seems as though Lokonga should be coming to the Emirates.
Fingers crossed we see the 21-year-old shining for Mikel Arteta’s side next season.
