Fabrizio Romano was left amazed by Iliman Ndiaye’s performance for Sheffield United last night against Tottenham in the FA Cup, with the rumoured Everton target scoring the winning goal.

The Italian transfer guru took to Twitter to laud the Senegal international after the 22-year-old came off the bench to score a sensational solo goal for the Blades to book their ticket into the FA Cup quarter-finals and to dump one of the competition favourites out.

Having had a £25m bid rejected by Everton in January as reported by Sky Sports News, Ndiaye has been one of the breakout stars in the Championship this season, with the striker bagging 11 goals and eight assists in all competitions. And this latest moment against Tottenham could raise the youngster’s valuation even higher.

With Sheffield United in the driving seat to secure automatic promotion back up to the Premier League, though, Everton could be priced out of a move for the Blades superstar should Paul Heckingbottom’s side return to the English top-flight.

Indeed, Ndiaye’s price tag is only going to rise between now and the end of the season, with the attacker now bagging a historic goal against Tottenham, Everton might have to reevaluate their options in the summer should the youngster prove to be too expensive for Sean Dyche.

Ndiaye has already been one of the best youngsters in the Championship this season with Sheffield United, yet with his goal against Tottenham in the FA Cup comes an increased asking price from the Blades, and it could be one that Everton are unwilling to match in the summer.

As we know, the Toffees are already working on a restricted budget given their financial issues, and with Everton having a £25m bid rejected by the Bramall Lane side for Ndiaye, Dyche could struggle big time to match whatever Sheffield United demand at the end of the season.
