Pedro Caixinha’s Glasgow Rangers won against Progres Niederkorn at Ibrox in the Europa League qualifier.
Rangers defender Fabio Cardoso has taken to social networking site Twitter to express his delight at making his debut for the Glasgow giants.
Cardoso featured for Pedro Caixinha’s Rangers against Luxembourg side Progres Niederkorn at Ibrox on Thursday evening.
It was the first leg of the Europa League first qualifying round which the Glasgow giants won 1-0, thanks to Kenny Miller’s goal in the 37th minute.
Centre-back Cardoso started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes. It was the Portuguese defender’s first competitive game for Rangers following his signing in the summer transfer window.
The former Vitoria Setubal man has taken to Twitter and Instagram to express his delight at playing for Rangers at Ibrox.

Rangers were expected to win by a much bigger margin against Progres Niederkorn, and one suspects that the Ibrox faithful will be disappointed with the final result and the performance of the team.
The Gers, though, should be confident of winning the second leg or at least drawing it in order to progress to the second qualifying round of the Europa League.
