The Glasgow Rangers defender looks set to return following a spell on the side-lines.

Following his tweet ahead of Rangers’ Scottish Premiership clash against Aberdeen this evening, it seems centre-back Fabio Cardoso is back in contention for the vital match, and the summer signing should use it as the catalyst that kick-starts his Gers career.
The 23-year-old has been side-lined following his broken nose and Rangers have lost their last two matches, with centre-back Danny Wilson coming under particular scrutiny.

While the future looks bright for Rangers defender Ross McCrorie, Cardoso’s return could come at the ideal time, with Graeme Murty’s side preparing for a double-header against Aberdeen.
If the interim manager can lead his side to six points in those two fixtures, he will leave his role with his head held high and after a job well done. But for that to happen Rangers will need to be considerably sturdier at the back, with Cardoso vital to their hopes.

Bruno Alves also has a significant role to play in the short-term, but Cardoso could be at Ibrox for the long haul if he proves his worth and Rangers need him to up his game as soon as he steps back onto the pitch.
Some Rangers fans were suggesting the Portuguese needed a break prior to his injury, but now his return could be just what they need.
