Glasgow Rangers defender Fabio Cardoso took to social media after missing the Ibrox side’s latest game.

Rangers fans have been debating whether Fabio Cardoso deserves another run in the team after he posted on social media after missing out on the squad that travelled to Fir Park on Saturday.
Cardoso was a first-team regular at the start of the season, but has been a much more peripheral figure under Graeme Murty, with just four appearances coming since the start of December and no league starts in that time.

The likes of David Bates, Russell Martin and Bruno Alves have featured regularly since the turn of the year. And while the partnership of Bates and Martin had been impressive, the two veterans have really struggled to form a decent understanding.
The pair were both disappointing in the 2-2 draw with Motherwell on Saturday, while Cardoso was left out of the squad altogether with Ross McCrorie coming back onto the bench for the first time since the winter break.

And while it is not entirely clear what the reason for his absence was, Cardoso did hint on Twitter that he remained determined to prove his doubters wrong and make a success of his spell at Ibrox.

Interestingly, the tweet from the Portuguese – who cost £1.3 million in the summer, according to the Daily Record – attracted a mixed response from the Gers fans.
Alves and Martin have been hugely disappointing together, and some suggested that it is now time for the 23-year-old to get another chance in the side. However, others disagreed.
Cardoso is no stranger to sending these kind of defiant tweets after an apparent setback, and it appears that a greater number of fans are becoming less and less convinced by the message each time he sends one out. And with McCrorie coming back to full fitness, it appears that he may have to wait a while longer before his chance comes his way.
