Fabio Cardoso joined Glasgow Rangers in the summer of 2017, but has failed to make an impact at Ibrox.

Cardoso, who joined Rangers from Vitoria Setubal in the summer of 2017 for a transfer fee reported by The Scottish Sun to be worth £1.3 million, has been left awed by the Gers’ fans’ support.
The central defender told The Scottish Sun: “I love life in Scotland, I enjoy it. It’s impossible not to enjoy playing for Glasgow Rangers.
“I’ve never played for a big club in big stadiums like here. I’ve never felt support from fans like I do here, it’s amazing.
“They’re so passionate and that’s why we feel we have to do more for them and the club. It’s a massive club with huge history. It’s an honour for me to be part of it.
“In Portugal, I went to play against Porto and Benfica, clubs like that. Sure, they have a lot of supporters but here our fans are different. Even when we play away, I feel like we’re at home.”

Cardoso’s comments will make Rangers fans proud. The Portuguese’s comment show that despite struggling to compete with Celtic for the Scottish Premiership title, the fans are still behind the team.
It has been a tough few years for the Ibrox faithful, but the Gers are back in the top flight of Scottish football now, and things can only get better in the coming years.
True, Rangers are not going to win the Scottish Premiership title this season or even in 2018-19, but with such a strong 50,000 or so fans behind them at Ibrox, they will only achieve that feat sooner rather than later.

Interestingly, Cardoso has actually been linked with moves away from Rangers in the January transfer window.
Last month, Portuguese news outlet A Bola credited Estoril Praia with interest in the former Benfica prospect.
The Scottish Sun reported earlier this month that Rangers are looking to offload Cardoso in the January transfer window.
