Liverpool are reportedly keen on signing Napoli powerhouse Kalidou Koulibaly.

Fabio Capello once dubbed Liverpool target Kalidou Koulibaly as Napoli’s Ronaldo as the defender has been touted to make a move to Anfield this summer.
Italian outlet Il Mattino have claimed that Liverpool are keen on the 27-year-old’s services and they would need to pay in the region of £100 million if they want to secure his signature.
Centre-back Koulibaly has been a man mountain for Napoli in recent years, which has seen his stock rise and rise, with the European champions now hoping to sign him.
Previously, Serie A legend, Capello hailed the qualities of Koulibaly and had no hesitation in agreeing that he was Napoli’s Ronaldo.
“Without a doubt Koulibaly,” Capello told Il Mattino in February. “He’s a monstrous, talented defender. Right now, he’s among the best in the world.”
There’s no doubt that if Liverpool can push through a deal for the Napoli man then he would be one of the signings of the summer from teams in the Premier League.

The Reds are European champions, and deservedly so, but they aren’t Premier League champions – that title rightfully belongs to Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.
In order for Klopp’s team to dethrone the recent domestic treble winners, they perhaps need a statement signing in the summer which would make the rest of the Premier League stand up and take notice that Liverpool are here to battle City once again.
Plus, a player of Koulibaly’s quality would no add more quality to Liverpool’s backline, who had the strongest defence last term and the best performing player in Virgil van Dijk.
