Alisson Becker kept an unexpected clean sheet but Divock Origi and Gini Wijnaldum have hogged the headlines after the Champions League turnaround.

Alisson Becker was the unsung hero in Liverpool’s famous Champions League triumph over Barcelona on Tuesday night though the goalkeeper’s role did not pass Fabio Capello by, the former England manager speaking to Sky Italia (7 May, 10pm).
Liverpool produced one of the greatest comebacks in the tournament’s history in front of a stunned Anfield, overturning their three goal deficit to leave Lionel Messi and co aghast on Merseyside.
Divock Origi and Gini Wijnaldum are understandably the toast of Liverpool right now after the unfancied duo both scored a brace apiece, Liverpool battering La Liga champions Barcelona 4-0 to render Messi’s first-leg heroics redundant.
But goalkeeper Alisson was equally important, producing a series of fine saves to deny Barca what could have been a decisive away goal.
And Capello was quick to highlight the former Roma star’s importance to a scarcely-believable win.

“Barcelona found themselves three times in front of Alisson, who made incredible saves,” said the former Real Madrid and AC Milan boss.
“They can’t mess up the way they did because Liverpool’s players are at such a high level that they punish you.”
Eyebrows were raised when Liverpool made Alisson the world’s most expensive goalkeeper last summer but the Brazil international continues to prove that he has been worth every penny, making crucial interventions in the biggest of games.
