Liverpool midfielder Fabinho is reportedly on AC Milan’s radar following his slow start to life at Anfield.

Fabinho has arguably not had the best start to life at Liverpool.

The Brazilian midfielder arrived at Anfield to much fanfare this summer for a fee of around £43.7million.

Many Reds fans were excited about the move, given Fabinho played a key role in Monaco’s superb 2016/17 Ligue 1 title-winning campaign and run to the Champions League semi-finals.

However, Jurgen Klopp did not give the 25-year-old his competitive Liverpool debut until 18 September, when he replaced Sadio Mane in injury time against Paris Saint-Germain.

Indeed, Fabinho’s Premier League debut did not come until 20 October, coming on as a substitute in the 1-0 win at Huddersfield Town.

Since his appearance at the John Smith’s Stadium, Fabinho’s Reds career has picked up somewhat as he featured in five out of six matches, starting four of them.

Nonetheless, a report has been published by Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport suggesting that the Brazilian is after continuity and desperate not to be benched long-term again.

As a result, AC Milan have been rumoured to be monitoring Fabinho’s situation closely, with head coach Gennaro Gattuso said to want him due to Lucas Biglia’s long-term injury.

The report concludes by stating that it is up to Fabinho to convince Liverpool to part ways with him, with a season-long loan move touted as the most likely outcome.

It remains to be seen whether Fabinho is eager to push for a January move which could seriously stunt his Reds career, especially given he’s finally getting picked after a slow start.
