Kieran Trippier will be playing outside of England for the first time in his career after he signed for La Liga giants Atletico Madrid on Wednesday.

Fabian Delph and Declan Rice wished Kieran Trippier all the best after he ended his four-year stay at Tottenham by signing for Atletico Madrid on Wednesday.
BBC Sport are reporting that Trippier’s switch to the Spanish side has cost Atletico in the region of £20 million, with Everton’s new recruit and West Ham’s defensive shield sending him messages.
Along with Delph and Rice sending their best wishes to the England man, Ryan Mason and Stephen Warnock also sent their good luck messages to Trippier:

Trippier has played alongside Delph and Rice for England, but his recent form saw him being dropped from Gareth Southgate’s most recent Three Lions squad.
Trippier will be hoping his move to Athletico Madrid will increase his chances of returning back to the England fold, with Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold currently making that position his own.

Nonetheless, Trippier has made a brave yet bold decision to move abroad and given the team he is set to play for and the manager he is going to work under, the defensive side of his game will improve.
Since England’s semi-final exit at last summer’s World Cup in Russia, Trippier’s form has gone backwards, with the defensive side of his game showing up.
But under the defensively-astute Diego Simeone, Trippier will be hoping he can tweak his game and become a better player.
