Everton’s Fabian Delph is one of Leeds United’s most successful products of the past 20 years.

Fabian Delph might’ve gone on to bigger and better things since leaving Leeds United, but he clearly hasn’t forgotten his roots.
The England international joined Everton in an £8.5 million deal this summer after winning two Premier League titles in four years at Manchester City.
Delph is one of the most successful Leeds products of the last two decades and has credited his eight-year stint at Thorp Arch for instilling in him a work ethic that has helped him become the player – and man – he is.
The 29-year-old, who spent three years in the Whites’ first team before joining Aston Villa in 2009, told The Echo today: “Every player wants to play football. Whether I’m on the pitch or off the pitch you will get the same drive and desire from me.
“I came through at Leeds and work ethic was driven into me. Nothing will change.”
There were even murmurs back in May that the Bradford-born midfielder could return to Leeds this summer. According to The Sun, the Whites ‘showed an interest’ in him a few months ago, but nothing was ever going to come of it.
This is a player who has just won the Premier League and with respect to Marcelo Bielsa’s side, moving to the Championship would’ve been a massive step-down for him.
Delph, who moved to Villa Park for £6 million a decade ago [The Guardian], played 53 times for the West Yorkshire club.
