West Ham United continued their impressive turnaround with a fantastic Premier League win at the weekend.

After a dreadful start to the season, the Irons have put together a fantastic recovery, winning seven points from their last three games, beating Everton and Jose Mourinho’s men, while also drawing with Chelsea.
The 3-1 win against United at the London Stadium was a huge statement from West Ham, with Felipe Anderson and Marko Arnautovic scoring either side of an own goal and a Marcus Rashford reply for the visitors. And Balbuena suggested that Pellegrini told the team at full-time that they had just set the standard.

“The manager congratulated us for the effort, for what we showed on the pitch and told us that was the way. We know that haven’t won anything more than a great match against a great rival. But we have a long way to go, many things to improve, but of course we are gaining in confidence and therefore we can work more calmly.”
It is a remarkable turnaround from the Hammers, and it is one that should be seriously exciting for West Ham supporters after the despair of the opening weeks.

There was a lot of panic initially, but it was always going to take a while for the club’s summer signings to gel after such a busy window. But the likes of Balbuena and Issa Diop are now finding their feet.
And having already faced seven of the top 11 so far this season, it would appear that West Ham now have a fantastic chance to kick on and capitalise on the momentum that they have gained in their last four games in all competitions.
