Wes Morgan hailed the ‘special’ Arsenal target, Youri Tielemans, as he told Match of the Day.
The FA Cup-winning captain shared a dressing room with the midfielder for several years at Leicester, before retiring, and shared that he puts in ‘extra shooting practise’ after training.
It has been suggested by the Telegraph that Tielemans is likely to leave Leicester City in the summer, with those at Arsenal, including Mikel Arteta, admirers of the player.
Last season, the Belgium international showcased what he is all about when he scored the winning goal as the Foxes won their first-ever FA Cup – although they were knocked out of the competition by Nottingham Forest over the weekend.
Nonetheless, Morgan lauded the man on Arsenal’s radar and how he is trying to improve his game.
“Youri is a special player,” said Morgan. “The amount of work he does, off the field and in the gym and the hours he puts in is the reason why he is producing these magical moments.
“He is always the type of player to be doing extra shooting practice at the end of the game. If you keep working hard like that, then it pays off.
“Now you see the best of him. He wants to add goals to his game. Add assists to his game and he is producing that on a weekly basis.”

Tielemans has 18-months left on his contract at the King Power and he is either going to sign on the dotted line before the summer, or get sold.
Of course, given his qualities and importance to Brendan Rodgers plans, they want him to stay.
But if he doesn’t sign on the dotted line, then they will have no chance put to get a transfer fee of some sort for the player.
That does increase Arsenal’s chances of signing the player, but in truth, if the list of teams wanting the technically-gifted midfielder is long, then those in the Emirates boardroom will have a fight on their hands.
