Unlike their North London rivals, Tottenham Hotspur avoided a potential upset in the third round of the FA Cup with a resounding 3-0 victory over AFC Wimbledon.

Yet Mauricio Pochettino steered clear of any such problem by fielding a strong Spurs team at Wembley Stadium that included Harry Kane; with the striker getting two of the goals in the convincing win.
It is perhaps a sign that Pochettino – whose Tottenham team were knocked out of the FA Cup by Chelsea in the semi-finals last season – is once again taking this competition seriously.

For all the praise the Argentine has received since taking over at the club in the summer of 2014, the main criticism still aimed at the 45-year-old is the lack of silverware he has won.
However, with the North Londoners already out of the title race and Champions League triumph an extreme long shot with Italian champions Juventus up next in the last-16, Pochettino could still realistically win the FA Cup and silence those critics in the process.
