Aston Villa central defender Ezri Konsa has said on UMM that Manchester City star Jack Grealish is better than Chelsea ace Mason Mount.

What’s the story?

During an interview on UMM, Villa defender Konsa was asked to put City attacking midfielder Grealish, Chelsea midfielder Mount and Leicester City playmaker Maddison in his order of preference.

Konsa picked Grealish at the top.

The 23-year-old Englishman played with Grealish at Villa.

The 26-year-old England international, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger, joined City from the Villans in the summer transfer window.

Konsa has said that he has played with Mount and Maddison as well, but he prefers Grealish to them.

The Villa defender said on UMM: “Jack at the top. I have played with Mason and Maddison as well. Both top top players, Mount and Madders.”

Konsa has also said that he would put City boss Pep Guardiola over Jose Mourinho and Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.

The defender said: “Guardiola, Mourinho and Klopp. Just love the way Pep manages and the way his teams play.”

Konsa added about playing against City: “It’s not nice, man, it’s not nice at all, especially as a defender. You are always on the move, you have got to be focused throughout the whole game.”

Both Grealish and Mount are very good midfielders who are big players for England.

City’s Grealish is more attack-minded who can play as a central attacking midfielder or out wide.

Mount is also able to operate in attacking midfield, and the Chelsea star can sit deeper in the middle of the park as well.

Grealish is more advanced in his development as a footballer.

The City star is 26, while Mount is 22.
