Leeds United haven’t been in free-scoring form lately.

Ezgjan Alioski has told Leeds United’s official website that it’s ‘unbelievable’ how he and his team-mates have only scored once in their last two games, despite the amount of chances created.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side moved back to the Championship summit last night with a hard-fought 1-0 win over West Bromwich Albion at Elland Road.
It was Leeds’ first game since a 1-0 defeat at Charlton Atheltic this past weekend and both games had a recurring theme.
On both occasions, the Whites had more than enough opportunities to win the matches by a significant margin, and Alioski – a £2 million signing two years ago [The YEP] – admits that he can’t get his head around how their efforts has yielded only one goal.
The Macedonia international, who scored that one goal, told Leeds United’s official website: “It was unbelievable how many chances we created in the last games, but we only scored one goal, however it doesn’t matter, the win is all that matters and I’m happy that we’ve won.”
It would seem unbelievable if it was any other team, but Leeds, under Bielsa, have a history of dominating virtually every statistic in most games, but goalscoring is an issue.
Despite being top of the Championship, United have scored only 14 times. For comparison, Luton Town, in 18th, have scored the same amount.
Still, Bielsa’s side aren’t conceding, having only shipped five all season, and despite not being in red-hot form going forward, they are in defence.
