New Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa takes no prisoners in training.

Ezgjan Alioski has suggested to BBC Radio Leeds that he has been surprised at Marcelo Bielsa’s fitness demands since being appointed as Leeds United head coach.
The Whites made a huge statement last month by hiring the veteran manager, who has taken charge of Lazio, Athletic Bilbao and Argentina’s national team during his career.
Early on it was reported that the 62-year-old would put Leeds players through a rigourous pre-season, with The Times claiming that he made them train twice on his very first day at Thorp Arch.
And Alioski, a £3.2 million addition last summer, has confirmed that Bielsa takes no prisoners in training and revealed that he hasn’t experienced such a relentless approach before.
He told BBC Radio Leeds: “Everyone who knows him also knows how he works. We work hard, all day. We don’t have too many days off, always work.
“I’ve never seen this [before] and I’m sure [the pre-season training] will show on the pitch.”
Leeds fans might be frustrated at the lack of signings so far, with Lewis Baker and Jamal Blackman the only players to arrive at Elland Road – and both are on loan from Chelsea.
But supporters of the West Yorkshire side can take heart in knowing that the players that Bielsa has inherited are in great condition physically and that’s a huge plus in the Championship.
