Sergi Canos has raved about Liverpool-owned winger Harry Wilson to Goal.com.

The Brentford winger trained with Wilson at Liverpool when he was younger, and he was left stunned by what he saw from the 23-year-old then.

Canos, now 24 years of age, was on the books of Liverpool from 2013 until 2016 and actually played once in the Premier League for the Merseyside club.

The Spaniard was left impressed by what he saw in training from Wilson, who is now 23 and is on loan at Cardiff City at the moment.

Canos told Goal.com: “There was a thing in Spain where people would say English players are not as good as us, that they don’t have the quality. Then, I train with Liverpool U18s. I was like ‘Wow! Why did I ever believe everyone in Spain?’

“You see Ryan Kent doing stepovers, Harry Wilson scoring free kicks with his eyes closed, Sheyi Ojo running down the wing.

“I was like ‘How am I going to play here?!’ I came because I thought it was easy, and the first three wingers I saw training with me, they are better than me!”

Does Harry Wilson have a future at Liverpool?

Wilson is a very good winger who has done well on his loan spells at Derby County and Bournemouth.

The Wales international winger is doing well at Cardiff at the moment, with the Bluebirds very much in the race for the Championship playoffs.

According to WhoScored, Wilson has scored four goals and provided nine assists in 25 Championship games for Cardiff so far this season.

It is hard to see Wilson establish himself in the Liverpool first team next season.

After all, the Merseyside outfit have the likes of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Diogo Jota in their attack.

A permanent exit in the summer of 2021 would make sense for Wilson so that he can find a new home.
