Paulo Fonseca has been on the radar of Tottenham Hotspur, and now there is speculation that he could become the new manager of West Ham United.
Tottenham Hotspur-linked Paulo Fonseca eyes West Ham job
LondonWorld journalist Rahman Osman reported on Twitter in March that then Tottenham Hotspur Managing Director of Football, Fabio Paratici, preferred Fonseca to Mauricio Pochettino as the potential new manager of Tottenham Hotspur.
Paratici is no longer at Spurs, while former Tottenham boss Pochettino is set to become the new manager of Chelsea.
And now Fonseca is being linked with West Ham.
The Sun have reported that West Ham are looking at potentially appointing the Portuguese manager as a replacement for David Moyes at the end of the season.
And Fonseca himself is reportedly interested in taking over at the Hammers.
The 50-year-old is in charge of Lille in Ligue 1 at the moment, but the former AS Roma boss is reportedly open to leaving the French club for West Ham.
Described as “extraordinary” by Arsenal legend Thierry Henry, Fonseca plays an attacking brand of football and has extensive experience of managing in different leagues.
West Ham are now likely to escape the dreaded drop to the Championship at the end of the season.
And the Premier League club could win the UEFA Europa Conference League as well this season.
