Liverpool have got the better of Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium, and Trent Alexander-Arnold has played his role.
The 22-year-old right-back, left out of the latest England squad, provided the assist for the first goal that Liverpool scored in the Premier League game against Arsenal.
The youngster whipped in a brilliant cross from the right wing that his teammate and Portugal international forward Diogo Jota turned home.
Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville was on co-commentary duty for Sky Sports, and the Englishman noted how pleased Alexander-Arnold was with his cross by pointing to his celebrating when the ball went into the back of the net.
Neville said in the 64th minute on Sky Sports Premier League (9:22pm, April 3, 2021): “That celebration is an extraordinary one from Alexander-Arnold because he has been questioned this last week, being left out of the international team for where he has been in these last 12 months. It’s a real shock to everybody.”

The win against Arsenal was well deserved for Liverpool, and it would not have shocked anyone if Jurgen Klopp’s side had scored a few more goals.
The Reds were the better and more dominating team, and the result at the Emirates Stadium has enhanced their chances of finishing in the top four of the Premier League table this season.
As for Arsenal, it now seems that winning the Europa League is the only way they can get into the Champions League next season.
