Speaking on the La Liga YouTube channel, Real Sociedad Director of Football has been waxing-lyrical about his former player Alexander Isak.
The Swedish striker joined Newcastle United from Sociedad this summer in a club-record deal. But Olabe still has some fond memories of the former Sociedad man.
Indeed, Olabe has been waxing-lyrical about the Magpies star, stating that he’s a special player with extraordinary technique.
Olabe hails Isak
The Director of Football spoke incredibly highly of the player he sold to Newcastle in the summer.
“Alex represents a job well done by our recruitment team,” Olabe says
“He represents what we want as a club. Growing and creating opportunities for young people. We want him to keep aspiring to be better.
“Alex is special, Alex is a player who has extraordinary fundamental technique who participates in the building of the play.”
Ready for 2023
Unfortunately, we’ve not been able to see Isak at his best so far this season as injuries have plagued the striker.
However, with 2023 just around the corner, the Newcastle ace could be ready to announce himself on the Premier League stage next year.
Isak certainly has the talent to make a name for himself at this level.
As Olabe says, this is a special player who has brilliant technique, and when you combine that with his obvious physical gifts, you have a striker who is ready to dominate in the Premier League.
Newcastle have a gem on their hands here, and they will be ready to unleash him next year.
