Tim Sherwood has lavished praise on Dejan Kulusevski‘s performance for Tottenham Hotspur in a 2-0 victory today.

Spurs had a difficult visit away to Nottingham Forest.

However, Tottenham enjoyed a brilliant start to the contest when Harry Kane passed beyond Dean Henderson into the back of the net.

It was a lovely reverse pass from the Sweden international which set up the opportunity for Kane.

And Sherwood has paid tribute to the 22-year-old winger’s vision:

He told Optus Sport: “For me it’s all about Kulusevski. The pass into Kane is exquisite. It’s a reverse pass, only he can see it. Perfect goal for Tottenham. Perfect start.”

Kane could and should have added a second after the break when Steve Cook conceded a penalty for a rather blatant handball.

However, the Lilywhites hitman was denied from the penalty spot by Dean Henderson.

Kane did collect his brace in the final 10 minutes, though.

A wonderful outside-of-the-boot ball from Richarlison was nodded into an empty net by the Spurs talisman to make the game safe.

Minutes after the goal, the Juventus loanee was substituted for Yves Bissouma as Antonio Conte moved to shore up the visitors’ defensive midfield.

It’s a rather flattering scoreline for the North Londoners and even Conte might admit that Nottingham Forest probably deserved at least a goal.

But the Premier League is about how clinical you are and, simply put, Conte’s side – and Kulusevski – were that bit more polished in the final third.
