Some Arsenal fans are singing the praises of Albert Sambi Lokonga on Twitter despite their defeat at the Emirates Stadium this evening.

The Gunners went down 2-0 to Chelsea on another pretty awful day for Mikel Arteta’s side, who have lost both of their Premier League games so far without scoring a goal.

Romelu Lukaku fired the Blues ahead after bullying Pablo Mari, before Reece James added a second and killer goal for Arsenal.

Stand-out performances for the hosts were few and far between but the former Anderlecht midfielder was indeed brilliant.

Whether it was in possession or out of it, Lokonga produced a fine display and here’s how some Arsenal fans are reacting to it on Twitter:

How much did Lokonga cost Arsenal?

The North Londoners spent £17 million on signing the 21-year-old a little earlier this summer.

He was Arteta and Edu’s second addition of the transfer window, after Nuno Tavares and before Ben White.

It is quite embarrassing when a 21-year-old kid with one Premier League game under his belt is your best player in a London derby against the European champions.

But that’s the situation for Arsenal these days and if Arteta thought he was under pressure after losing to Brentford, it’ll be ramped up tenfold now after Josh Kroenke listened to boos ring around the stadium at half time from the director’s box.
