Arsenal fans have questioned why Tottenham Hotspur’s Tanguy Ndombele wasn’t sent off and subsequently banned for the North London derby at the weekend.

Ndombele hacked down Callum Wilson during Tottenham’s game with Bournemouth, as the Cherries countered late on.

VAR took a look at the slide challenge, but the Tottenham man was only booked – rather than given a red card.

And Arsenal supporters felt that the Frenchman was very lucky to remain on the field.

If Ndombele had been sent off for the tackle he would have been banned for this weekend’s North London derby.

Arsenal fans have been left to feel hard done by after Eddie Nketiah was shown a red card after a high tackle against Leicester City on review.

Nketiah will now miss out on playing in the derby on Sunday, but Ndombele will definitely be available.

Mourinho has been very reluctant to use Ndombele, but he may turn to Tottenham’s record signing on Sunday.

Spurs improved marginally after Ndombele’s introduction last night, and it could be that he has done enough to earn himself a starting place against Arsenal now.
