Tottenham Hotspur haven’t had much success on the managerial front since firing Jose Mourinho.
Quite a few names have been linked with the Spurs job since Mourinho’s dismissal over a month ago.
But Julian Nagelsmann turned down Tottenham to join Bayern Munich and Brendan Rodgers – who won the FA Cup last weekend – says that he’s more than happy at Leicester City.
Others like Jesse Marsch, the new Leipzig boss, have also slipped through Daniel Levy’s fingers and now, according to Fabrizio Romano, there’s another one to add to the list.
The Evening Standard reported a month ago that Lille boss Christophe Galtier was also on Levy’s shortlist of potential Mourinho replacements.
But Romano has revealed on Twitter that the 54-year-old will be joining OGC Nice over the coming days.
It remains to be seen just how interested Tottenham were in Galtier because let’s be honest, it’s a much bigger job than the one at Nice.
That being said, Harry Kane’s situation is probably scaring off potential suitors.
Kane wants to leave the Lilywhites and whoever replaces Mourinho has a massive job to then replace Kane, who has been involved in 48 goals – scored 32, set up 16 – in 48 games this season.
He’s a colossal player for Spurs and they’re just a different side without him.
