Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Adama Traore has been in the transfer news in recent days and has been linked with a move to Liverpool.

Todofichajes claimed this week that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has personally called the Wolves star and has been in touch with the 24-year-old, who is valued at £60 million, as reported by The Sun.

Former Wolves midfielder Seyi Olofinjana, who now works as the loan pathway manager at the club, has admitted that the former Barcelona prospect could leave Nuno’s side this summer.

Olofinjana told Goal.com about Traore: “He is a good player and we’ve all seen what he is capable of doing. His sheer pace, power, goalscoring stint, skills on the ball and also running the length of the pitch.

“He’s been doing it for the past few seasons, so we are very much aware of what he brings to the table. In terms of what will happen to him going forward, the league has not ended, so we need to wait for that.

“We can’t ignore the fact that he has done very well for the club. Anybody can leave Wolves, he came from somewhere and he can leave any day.

“Regarding genuine transfer interest in our players, there are procedures and policies that we consider as a club, they tell us whether it is the right step for us or not.”

Brilliant signing for Liverpool

While speculation that Liverpool manager Klopp has been in touch with Traore should be taken with a pinch of salt, there is no doubt that the winger would be a brilliant signing for the Reds.

The 24-year-old has improved a lot in recent years, and he would bring strength, power and tricks to the Reds’ attacking unit.

Stats

According to WhoScored, the winger has made 22 starts and six substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Wanderers so far this season, scoring four goals and providing seven assists in the process.

The 24-year-old has also made five starts and three substitute appearances in the Europa League for Nuno’s side this campaign, scoring two goals in the process, according to WhoScored.
