Ross McCormack completed a deadline day loan switch from Aston Villa to Championship rivals Nottingham Forest.
Ross McCormack has commented on the incident that seemingly triggered his loan move from Aston Villa to Nottingham Forest during the January transfer window, but did not criticise Steve Bruce, the Daily Mail reports.

McCormack only joined Villa in the summer but struggled during his spell at Villa Park, scoring just three times following the £12 million switch (via Mail).
He also had his attitude questioned by Bruce recently. The manager had claimed that McCormack had missed training after the gates outside his home would not open and subsequently forced the Scotsman to train with the under-23s until he received an apology, the Mirror reports.

With McCormack moving on loan soon after, it would appear that the rift between the Villa boss and striker was not resolved before he left for the City Ground.
And after joining Nottingham Forest, the former Fulham man has suggested that, while the incident with the gates did happen, Bruce’s version of events was not entirely accurate.
“The manager said what he felt he needed to say,” he said, as reported by the Mail.
“I have got my opinions, which I’ll keep to myself, but I’m out the door now and this is a good opportunity.

“It’s a true story actually. But I said I would be running late, not that I would be missing training.”
Though McCormack has denied that he missed training, it is hardly surprising that he does not appear to be comfortable hitting out at Bruce.

The 30-year-old’s deal with Forest only lasts until the end of the season, so there is perhaps still a decent chance that he could be working under Bruce once again next season.
