Speaking on the Transfer Window Podcast, Ian McGarry has delivered an update on Eddie Howe’s potential move to Celtic.
Howe has been linked with a move to Celtic for months at this point, and McGarry says that the higher-ups at Parkhead are losing their patience with the former Bournemouth boss
“We understand that their pursuit of Eddie Howe is becoming a source of great frustration for Eddie Howe and the incoming chief executive Dominic McKay, and Duncan it’s not surprising that they should look for a plan B, given that Howe has had more than three meetings with Celtic about replacing Neil Lennon, and he’s yet to commit. He could have signed a pre-contract, which he hasn’t done,” McGarry said.
“Celtic’s executives are becoming very impatient now with regards to what Howe’s intentions are. We’ve reported that Howe would prefer to stay in England and he’s hopeful that the Crystal Palace job will be his.”

Celtic do need to have a plan B lined up for if Howe doesn’t decide to come to Glasgow.
Howe has had plenty of time to commit to joining Celtic, but despite weeks and weeks of speculation, we’ve had nothing concrete as of yet.
Of course, the former Cherries boss could still come to Celtic. After all, he is their first-choice, but with so many jobs in England coming up at the moment, there’s every chance that he’ll take a role south of the border.
This is certainly a situation to keep an eye on in the coming weeks.
