- EXCLUSIVE from Graeme Bailey
AFC Bournemouth have no plans to sell Dominic Solanke in the January transfer window with neither Arsenal nor Newcastle United yet to make an approach for the England international.
If there are any Cherries fans counting down the days until February 1st, rest assured, you can sleep a little easier tonight.
HITC Football understands that Bournemouth have absolutely no intention of cashing in on their top scorer before the month is out. Dominic Solanke, as you might imagine given his stunning form in front of goal, has been the subject of much speculation recently.
Bournemouth rule out Dominic Solanke sale

Newcastle United have been credited with an interest in some quarters. Ditto Arsenal, the misfiring Gunners seemingly a top-class centre-forward short as Mikel Arteta’s side stumble in their Premier League quest.
But after being speaking to sources at both Newcastle and Bournemouth, HITC has been informed that neither The Magpies nor Arsenal have held talks with Solanke.
Bournemouth are certainly under no pressure to listen to offers. Solanke, who joined in a £19 million deal from Liverpool and represented Chelsea at youth level, is under contract until the summer of 2027 at the Vitality Stadium.
Amid claims that Brentford are demanding £100 million for the Arsenal-linked Ivan Toney, it is not hard to imagine Bournemouth slapping a similarly eye-watering price-tag on Solanke’s head. Only Erling Haaland and Mo Salah have scored more than his 12 Premier League goals this season, Solanke netting against Manchester United, Aston Villa and Newcastle while hitting a sumptuous hat-trick past Nottingham Forest.
Arsenal crying out for a striker
“He can do everything,” Arsenal legend Ian Wright tells Premier League Productions, labelling Solanke his Player of the Season so far. “Now, what he has done is added those goals to his game.
He never stops working (and) now we are seeing his numbers go up. Perfect. He is showing people what he is capable of. A proper all-round centre-forward.”
Arsenal have also been linked with Juventus’ Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic. Juve director Cristiano Giuntoli confirmed last week, however, that there has been no offer from the London giants as of yet.
Bournemouth, meanwhile, are in advanced talks to sign Oscar Zambrano from LDU Quito in Ecuador, HITC understands.
