Luca Netz is one of the best young left-backs in the Bundesliga and has been playing well for Borussia Monchengladbach.
Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea scouting Luca Netz
HITC understands that Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and Newcastle United have all watched Borussia Monchengladbach left-back Netz in recent weeks.
Sources have confirmed to HITC that 20-year-old Netz has emerged as one of the most impressive left-sided defenders in Germany and his form is attracting scouts.

All four Premier League clubs could be in the market for a new left-back, and Netz could be on the move in the summer transfer window. West Ham United also watched Netz earlier in the season.
HITC has been told that Netz is on Bayern Munich’s radar as well. The Germany Under-21 international left-back is someone Bayern, who could lose striker Harry Kane to Manchester United at the end of the season, are assessing ahead of this summer when they are likely to lose Alphonso Davies, who as HITC revealed in February, has decided to join Real Madrid in the summer transfer window.
Luca Netz is highly rated
Luca Netz has been on the books of Borussia Monchengladbach since 2021 when he joined from Hertha Berlin.
Netz is only 20 now, but the Germany Under-21 international has already established himself as one of the most important players in the Monchengladbach first team.
The youngster has made 19 starts and two substitute appearances in the Bundesliga so far this season. He has given three assists in those games.
Last season, Netz made seven starts and 13 substitute appearances in the Bundesliga, scoring one goal and providing three assists in the process.
In 2021-22, the left-back made 16 starts and seven substitute appearances in the league, providing three assists in the process.
Adi Hutter worked with Netz at Monchengladbach, and the AS Monaco head coach rates him highly.
BulliNews quoted Hutter as saying in March 2022: “Luca is a boy and has to become a man before he can reach his full potential. But it’s fun to watch such a great talent develop. He’s totally carefree, but also cheeky. Luca will become quite important for Gladbach in the future.”
