Manchester United are keen on keeping Omari Forson despite interest from the Premier League and Europe.
Manchester United keen on new contract for Omari Forson
Sources have told HITC that Manchester United are still in talks with Omari Forson’s representatives, as they continue to work hard on persuading him to sign a new deal at Old Trafford.
The 19-year-old winger has already turned down the offer of a new contract from United, which, as we revealed, “shocked” the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners, who are interested in signing Antonio Silva from Benfica in the summer transfer window.

HITC revealed in January that Newcastle United, Middlesbrough and Sunderland are among the sides who are showing an interest in Forson. Crystal Palace, Brentford and Leicester City are also keen on the England Under-20 international winger.
Sources have also said that there are numerous foreign clubs who are looking to land the winger. RB Leipzig, Club Brugge, Lyon, Lille and Feyenoord are among them. Forson is out of contract at United in the summer of 2024.
Omari Forson is highly rated
Omari Forson is only 19 now, the Manchester United winger has already played twice in the Premier League this season.
The winger came on as a substitute against Wolverhampton Wanderers and started the Premier League match against Fulham at Old Trafford this past weekend.
Although Forson struggled to make an impact against Fulham and left Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson feeling sorry for him, United manager Erik ten Hag was pleased.
Ten Hag said: “I think it was reasonable. He had some good actions. He was reliable in defending and had some good actions in possession. I saw, for his first time, he did well.”
United Academy director Nick Cox told the club’s official website about Forson in January 2024: “On the pitch he was part of our successful FA Youth Cup-winning squad in 2022.
“Interestingly, Omari didn’t feature heavily in the cup run but showed exceptional resilience, and that’s a reminder that the journey isn’t always smooth and straightforward.”
