The rise of Liverpool ace Jarell Quansah

Defender Quansah has been on the books at Liverpool since the age of just five.

The Warrington-born centre back has progressed through the ranks and captained Liverpool at youth level.

Liverpool sent Quansah on loan to Bristol Rovers in League One for the second half of last season, handing him valuable first-team action.

An injury to Joel Matip thrust Quansah into first-team action earlier this season and he hasn’t let Liverpool down at all.

Quansah has now racked up 23 first-team appearances this season and Jurgen Klopp has now qualms about throwing him into the side.

Quansah partnered Virgil van Dijk against Manchester City on Sunday and didn’t look out of place against Erling Haaland.

Van Dijk told Sky Sports that he thinks the sky is the limit for Quansah, praising him for his display in Sunday’s big Anfield clash.

Liverpool look set to respond with a new deal for Quansah, who could lock down a key role at Anfield and possibly earn England recognition.
