HITC understands Bayern Munich are ready to try their luck with the signing of the one of the EFL Championship’s breakout stars this summer.
Burnley boss Vincent Kompany is closing in on a sensational move to Bayern Munich following the German side parting ways with former Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel.
With the appointment of Kompany, who took Burnley back into the Premier League from the Championship, it seems as though the German giants are keen on raiding one side from the second tier this summer.
Leeds United suffered a heartbreaking 1-0 defeat to Southampton in the play-off final and failed to make an immediate return back to the Premier League. As a result, the future of midfielder Archie Gray has been called into question.

Gray attracting Bayern interest
It is our understanding that Bayern are ready to test the resolve of the Yorkshire club about keeping hold of the talented midfielder this summer, who has made a big impact at Elland Road.
HITC revealed earlier in the year that the German giants were already keeping close tabs on Gray, who is considered one of the best young prospects in English football.
Last weekend’s defeat to Southampton in the play-off final could be a costly one with a number of their key players being targeted for a move this summer.
Gray committed his future to Leeds last summer with a new and improved contract but, despite this, interest from at home and abroad is understood to remain high.
Premier League teams keen
It is not just Bayern who are understood to be keen on the talented teenage midfielder but HITC can reveal that Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are also keen.
A move to United may well be the least likely of these outcomes with the rivalry between the Yorkshire club and the Manchester club, meaning that a move to Old Trafford would be complicated.
Arsenal could well be in the market for a new midfielder with the future of Ghanaian Thomas Partey unclear but nevertheless a move away from Leeds for the Englishman looks to be on the cards.
