Tottenham youngster Samuel Shashoua had an exciting weekend.

Tottenham Hotspur youngster Samuel Shashoua scored his first ever senior goal at the weekend.

Shashoua is on loan at Spanish third tier side Atletico Baleares.

The London born 19-year-old scored for Baleares in their 2-1 victory against UB Conquense.

It was Shashoua’s fourth game for his loan side following his late August switch, and just his second start.

Shashoua sent a message to fans on Twitter expressing his delight at getting off the mark.

The choice of loan clubs was a left field one for Shashoua, but the early signs are that he is making it a positive spell.

Getting regular game time at a competitive level is needed to stop him stagnating in the academy.

The goal will be a big confidence boost and if he can reach double figures this season then he might stand a fighting chance when he returns to Tottenham at the end of the season.

His contract at Spurs expires in June 2020.

Spurs Samuel Shashoua looks to attack during the Premier League 2 match between Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur at Meadow Park on March 10, 2018 in Borehamwood, England.
