Newcastle United are now favourites to snap up Inter Milan youngster Kevin Zefi with an exit now considered likely.
Kevin Zefi could now follow Sandro Tonali in swapping Milan for Newcastle with the Magpies now pushing for a deal.
That is according to The Irish Examiner, who claim that Zefi is set to leave Inter Milan in the coming weeks.
Newcastle are believed to be ‘on alert’ for Zefi’s signature and are now considered to be favourites for his signature.
It’s noted that Newcastle have already signed two of Zefi’s Ireland Under-19 teammates in recent times.
Reece Byrne and Alex Murphy have joined the Magpies ranks, leaving Bohemians and Galway United respectively.
Zefi could now follow suit, potentially trading life in Milan for a move to the North East just like Sandro Tonali.
Tonali left Inter’s city rivals AC Milan for Newcastle this week and Newcastle could go back to the Italian market for a young prospect in Zefi.

Who is Newcastle United target Kevin Zefi?
Zefi was born in Dublin and has been a regular at youth level of the Republic of Ireland but does also qualify to play for Albania.
The winger came up in the Shamrock Rovers ranks and Inter Milan managed to spot his potential.
Inter completed a deal for Zefi in 2021 and his record in their developmental setup is hugely impressive.

Transfermarkt track that Zefi has bagged six goals and seven assists in 18 games for the Inter Under-17’s as well as 16 goals and three assists in 14 games for the Inter Under-18’s.
Those are outstanding numbers but it looks like Zefi is now ready to leave Inter and try something new again.
Newcastle seem to be the favourites for what would be a hugely exciting deal with Zefi seemingly destined for a big future.
