Well, it looks like Liverpool might’ve won the race to sign Celtic sensation Ben Doak.
Liverpool have been heavily linked with signing the 16-year-old Lennoxtown gem in recent weeks.
Then again, so have Manchester City and Bayern Munich.
Last weekend, it was reported by The Echo that Jurgen Klopp’s outfit would be winning the race to sign him ahead of City and the Bundesliga powerhouse.
And it looks that report about the Celtic youngster might’ve been accurate.
That’s because Doak himself is now following Liverpool on social media platform Instagram, along with other Reds-related accounts.
This will be a sickener for Celtic.
The Hoops haven’t tied him down to a professional contract yet and therefore the only thing they’ll receive is compensation fee for raising him.
In the scheme of things, that fee will be peanuts relative to what the Parkhead side could’ve got him for at some point in the future.

Liverpool supporters won’t be seeing a lot of Doak – labelled an ‘exciting talent‘ by Jackie McNamara – in the first team for a while, but the fact he’s already made his senior debut for Celtic illustrates his potential.
And who knows, in a year or two, perhaps he could do a Harvey Elliott – who is 18 now – and make waves in the seniors.
