Leeds United signed Ousama Siddiki from Real Madrid last week.
Leeds United made a surprise move to sign Real Madrid talent Ousama Siddiki last week, adding the talented forward to their under-23 squad.
HITC Sport reported how Siddiki was pictured signing his contract at Elland Road, becoming the latest young Spaniard to sign up to work under new under-23 boss Carlos Corberan.
Siddiki is an exciting talent and his addition shows how new board member Ivan Bravo is really making his stamp at the club.
Bravo was pictured at Elland Road with owner Andrea Radrizzani last season and was formerly a director at Real Madrid, and runs the Aspire sports academy in Qatar.
Siddiki and Bravo both have Real Madrid connections
It was in a friendly match against Aspire in 2015 where Siddiki will have first grabbed Ivan Bravo’s attention.
He made his debut for Real Madrid’s youth team against Aspire in Doha in an under-17 tournament, Spanish newspaper AS reported at the time.
Siddiki went on to feature for Real’s under-19 team last year in the UEFA Youth League, and he is a real coup for Leeds.
He joins Madger Gomes, Adrian Balboa and Alejandro Machuca as young Spanish players brought into the club this summer, and Siddiki could be the best of the bunch.
The most exciting aspect of this for Leeds fans, is that Bravo and Radrizzani are only just getting started.
