Promising Leeds United youngster Morten Spencer has taken the next step forward in his career.

Spencer has signed a new deal, joining the agency represented by former Leeds United star Ian Harte.

He added it is ‘time to kick on’ now, with an eye on next season.

Spencer is a promising left winger who joined Leeds United from Sunderland’s youth team last year.

He has Norwegian citizenship but has so far chosen to represent England, having been capped at under-15 level previously.

Signing with Harte’s agency is a good sign for Leeds, but with no guarantees for the club.

Former Whites ace Jack Clarke was signed up with Harte, and he left the club for Tottenham Hotspur last summer.

Spencer is still working his way through Leeds’ youth system, at just 16, and is hoping to eventually catch Marcelo Bielsa’s eye. He appears determined to succeed.
