Nottingham Forest defender set to make return.
Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Dominic Iorfa and Nottingham Forest’s Daniel Pinillos in action
Nottingham Forest defender Dani Pinillos is set to make his return to action next week, he has confirmed.
Writing on Twitter, Pinillos told his 10,000 followers that he plans to feature for the club in their upcoming under-23 match.
Forest’s fixture next week is against Sheffield Wednesday, and will be held at Alfreton Town’s ground at 7pm.
Pinillos has been out of action all year after suffering a serious knee injury, which came just as he was establishing himself as Forest’s first choice right-back.
Nottingham Forest manager Philippe Montanier
He is yet to play for new manager Philippe Montanier, but he will be hoping to come through Tuesday’s match unscathed, a major milestone in his recovery.
Pinillos will need more than just one under-23 game to develop his match fitness and sharpness, and it would be a surprise to see him make a first team return during November, but this is positive progress, and the Spaniard could be back in the first team before 2016 comes to an end.
