Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to react after Fabrizio Romano responded to a question about RB Leipzig’s Marcel Sabitzer on Instagram.
When asked if Spurs were interested in signing the 44-cap Austria international, the respected transfer guru replied: ‘They’re interested as (are) other clubs.’
Depending on the stature of those other clubs, Tottenham could face a real fight to land the RB Leipzig No.7 given his vast qualities.
The 26-year-old enjoyed a stunning campaign last season, scoring 16 goals while also recording 11 assists in all competitions.
Sabitzer would provide plenty of energy and attacking impetus to Jose Mourinho’s side, who also possess the attack-minded likes of Giovani Lo Celso and Tanguy Ndombele.

So far this season, the Wels-born midfielder has scored two goals in six appearances for Julian Nagelsmann’s side.
He would be a fine signing, but in our view, the north Londoners could probably do with another Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg type in midfield, rather than another attack-minded option.

If Hojbjerg were to get injured, the whole dynamic of Mourinho’s set-up would change. The Dane helps keep things assured in the middle of the park, which allows Harry Kane and Heung-min Son to do their thing in attack.
Let’s see what the Tottenham fans on Twitter are saying about Romano’s comment…
