Rangers youngster Ryan Hardie impressed for Scotland Under-20’s on Tuesday.
Scotland’s Under-20’s advanced into the semi-finals of the Toulon Tournament with a narrow 2-1 win over Indonesia on Tuesday – and Rangers striker Ryan Hardie was the hero.
Scotland knew that a win would send them into the next round of the competition, but they fell behind when Hanis Saghara Putra put Indonesia in front in Vitrolles.

However, Scot Gemmill’s side hit back through Ryan Hardie, and the Rangers youngster scored from the penalty spot in the second half to seal a 2-1 win.
The result sets up a semi-final clash with England, and striker Hardie will be hoping to use the tournament to kick on at Rangers.
General View of Ibrox Stadium
Hardie, 20, has come up through the ranks at Ibrox, and whilst he scored twice in six games under Stuart McCall, he was given just four appearances under Mark Warburton.
This past season, Hardie hit eight goals in 22 games on loan at Raith Rovers, and he will now return to Rangers in the hope of impressing manager Pedro Caixinha.
Rangers fans
After scoring twice for Scotland Under-20’s, Hardie was praised by Rangers fans on Twitter, with some suggesting that he will one day score plenty of goals for the club, and possibly save them money as they wouldn’t have to buy another striker.
Other fans called for Hardie to be a first-team player next season, with supporters seemingly seeing huge potential in the young striker as he impresses on international duty.
