Chelsea manager Graham Potter has told Football.London that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is looking forward to facing Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal in the London derby this weekend.

Graham Potter’s Chelsea and Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal will face each other at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League on Sunday.

The match will see Aubameyang face the Gunners for the first time since leaving them in the middle of last season.

The former Borussia Dortmund star had his contract with Arsenal terminated, and he subsequently moved to La Liga giants Barcelona.

Chelsea signed the 33-year-old from Barcelona in the summer transfer window.

Aubameyang has scored one goal in five Premier League appearances and has scored two goals and given two assists in six UEFA Champions League matches for the Blues so far this season.

Chelsea boss Graham Potter on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang v Arsenal

Potter said about Aubameyang: “I don’t think we should make it about him.

“He is an important part of the team for us but it takes everybody, not just one person. I understand the interest around him because it’s Arsenal.

“I think he’s looking forward to the game, excited for it. He’s been pretty normal I say, quite a quiet guy.”

Dangerous player

In our view, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will be a big threat against Arsenal, and the Chelsea striker will be determined to score in the London derby.

The striker will be keen on showing Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta that he was wrong to let him leave in the middle of last season.

Aubameyang is in good shape at the moment and is scoring goals, and he will play a massive role for the Blues in their quest to win against the Gunners.
