Abdallah Sima could be the latest Slavia Prague star to leave the Czech champions for West Ham United, Premier League powerhouse Tomas Soucek said in conversation with Sport

It is not every day that players make a move from the Czech Republic to England. But it seems that David Moyes’ side have stumbled across the rarest of beasts – a market that offers genuine value-for-money.

New right-back Vladimir Coufal looks like £5 million very well spent while Soucek, his former Slavia Prague teammate, has made a huge impact at the London Stadium since arriving almost a year ago.

According to Soucek, an exciting, 19-year-old attacker could soon be wearing claret and blue as well, with another Slavia star catching the eye in England.

“As far as I can see, I have to say that I’m excited about him,” the £19 million Soucek said of Sima, who has 11 goals in just 17 games this season.

“I have to say that the guys around West Ham know about him. I’d like another player from Slavia to come (to the London Stadium), but it’s still a long way off. He’s still a young player and he has to prove (that he is ready for a move)

“But a lot of people know about him and notice him. Good for him.”

Interestingly, West Ham also made an approach to sign Lukas Masopust over the summer, with the midfielder’s agent confirming their interest in a player who won the Czech title alongside Soucek and Coufal in 2019 (eFotbal).

It remains to be seen whether the Hammers make an approach for Sima in January.

His price-tag is almost certain to rise considerably if the Senagalese youngster maintains his current form in front of goal.
