Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has told Sky Sports that everyone at the club admires Martin Odegaard.

The Spaniard has praised the 23-year-old as a person, and has said that he is a role model.

Mikel Arteta on Arsenal’s Martin Odegaard

Arteta told Sky Sports about Odegaard: “Everything that he’s done in the last 18 months since he joined us.

“The way other people look at him, the way they respect him, the way they admire him, the values that he has as a human being and how he represents those values through the club.

“He’s an exceptional football player that wants to play the way we want to play and he’s so hungry to make this club successful. That’s the reason.”

Big player for the Gunners

In our view, Arsenal attacking midfielder Martin Odegaard is one of the best players in the Premier League and has been superb for the Gunners since he moved to the Emirates Stadium.

The 23-year-old was successful during his loan spell at Arsenal from Real Madrid, and the North London club did the right thing by making the deal a permanent one.

Odegaard is a very creative player who links up well with his teammates and is a joy to watch.

The Norwegian star has scored eight goals and created seven big chances in 52 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.

For Arsenal to finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season and also to make an impact in the UEFA Europa League, Odegaard has to be on top of his game throughout.
