Les Ferdinand has stated that Dejan Kulusevski has been ‘exceptional’ for Tottenham Hotspur.

The former striker added that the Juventus loanee has ‘added something’ to this Champions League-chasing Tottenham side, as he told Premier League Productions (03/04/22 at 7:05 pm).

Brought in during the January transfer window from Juventus, alongside Rodrigo Bentancur, the duo have made quite the impact in north London.

Given that Kulusevski is an attack-minded player, it’s understandable the 21-year-old is standing out more, as he has five assists from his ten Premier League games.

It’s some going from the player, as Ferdinand likes what he sees from the all-action winger, as well as Bentancur in the middle of the park.

“We have been talking about Son and Kane and briefly spoke about Kulusevski,” said Ferdinand. “I think him and Bentancur, in the middle of the park, have been exceptional.

“Both have added something to Spurs that are making them play the way they are playing, at the moment.

“I think him out wide on that right, it gives them that option to go wide. His ability on the ball has just added to what Tottenham are doing.”

This is also a sign to a certain Daniel Levy that if Antonio Conte is backed in the transfer market, then things can go very well.

Tottenham are sitting in fourth spot and could argue that the final Champions League spot is now in their hands.

Arsenal, who were beaten 3-0 at Crystal Palace on Monday night, do have one game in hand, but they are also due to play their north London rivals on May 12.

Spurs will feel, although it’s a big ask, if they can win their remaining matches, then there is no reason why they can’t be sitting fourth by the time the final ball is kicked.
