Speaking live on Sky Sports‘ Premier League Daily show at 11:55 am on March 6th, former Whites star Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink discussed the job currently being done by Garry Monk at Elland Road, suggesting that he has been exceptional since his appointment as manager in June 2016.
Leeds currently sit in fourth position in the Championship table and, after the weekend’s results, they sit just seven points adrift of second placed Brighton & Hove Albion.
And a win tomorrow night at Fulham could take them as high as third, depending on the outcome of Huddersfield Town’s game at home to Aston Villa.
And Hasselbaink, who scored 34 goals in 69 Premier League appearances during a two year spell with Leeds, raved about the job being done by the former Swansea City boss at Elland Road, when speaking to Sky Sports:

“I think Monk has done an exceptional job…exceptional under pressure. He has stuck with it, and stuck with his beliefs. He has brought young players through – something that is in Leeds’ DNA. So he has done a really magnificent job.”
For the first time in a very long time, there is genuine optimism emanating from Elland Road that this current group of players can bring success back to the club.
