Manchester City youngster Taylor Harwood-Bellis could be set to return to the club after losing his spot for Anderlecht on loan, with Stoke keen on signing the defender.
According to Belgian publication Nieuwsblad, the teenage defender is open to returning to England after failing to start a game for Vincent Kompany’s side since November. And Championship side Stoke are interested.
Harwood-Bellis has made 19 appearances in total for Anderlecht this season. However, the defender has been limited to just 12 minutes of football since late November, in which the Belgian giants are yet to lose a game.
With Harwood-Bellis unlikely to return to the XI anytime soon, a return to Manchester could be on the cards for the defender. Pep Guardiola is a big fan of the City academy graduate, with the Catalan lauding the youngster as ‘exceptional’.
And a loan back to the EFL could be on the cards, with Stoke said to be interested in signing Harwood-Bellis for the remainder of the season.
The centre-back spent last season with Blackburn Rovers, where Harwood-Bellis was regarded as one of the best young defenders in the Championship in a squad that included the likes of Harvey Elliott and Ben Brereton Diaz.
Stoke loan could be ideal for Harwood-Bellis

With Harwood-Bellis losing his spot in the Anderlecht team, a return to England and another loan in the Championship could be exactly what the youngster needs, and Stoke would be an ideal club for the youngster.
The Potters have produced some fine centre-backs over the years. And in Harwood-Bellis, the second-tier side will have another player who has the potential to become a key player for Stoke in the second half of the season.
