Speaking on the BBC Radio Five Live Football Daily Podcast, Chris Sutton has reserved some special praise for Bukayo Saka.
The pundit was speaking about how England should line-up for the World Cup in Qatar, and inevitably, he got onto speaking about Saka having a place in the team.
Saka was one of the stars of Euro 2020, and Sutton believes there’s a strong case to make that he should start at the World Cup.
What’s been said?
Sutton had nothing but good things to say about Saka.
“He’s another player who has come on and one other name I can throw at you is Saka from Arsenal, he’s been outstanding, his form has been exceptional and there’s a strong argument to make that he should be starting at the World Cup because of his Premier League form. It’s a difficult balance that Gareth has to strike, and it will be interesting to see what he does,” Sutton said.

In the conversation
Whether or not Saka deserves to start at the World Cup will probably be decided based on how well he plays between now and the winter.
However, regardless of whether or not he keeps up this level of form, he’s certainly in the conversation.
Saka has been unbelievable for the Gunners this year, and while England have a number of talented wingers, he may well be the best of the bunch.
At the age of just 20, he has so much room to improve, and even if he doesn’t get the nod to start in Qatar, by the time 2026 rolls around, he’ll have hopefully reached his peak.
