Arsenal fans felt very optimistic about the season ahead when the summer transfer window closed. Mikel Arteta had won the FA Cup and the Community Shield, while Thomas Partey’s deadline day signing was the icing on the cake.
However, things haven’t gone to plan in the Premier League. Arsenal have won just four of their first ten games and average only one goal every 90 minutes.
Their attackers barely get service as their midfielders seem unable to create chances for the men in front of them. A proven creator is a priority for Arteta in the January transfer window and, if reports are to be believed, the Arsenal boss is eyeing a move for a Championship star.
Arteta a big admirer of Emi Buendia
Football London claims Arsenal have Norwich City’s Emiliano Buendia on their shortlist for January. The Argentine was one of Daniel Farke’s most impressive players in the Premier League last season, although even he couldn’t keep the Canaries up.
Buendia has started this season well too. He has scored two goals and has five assists to his name in ten games. A big move could be just around the corner for the Argentine, but is he the solution to Arsenal’s lack of creativity?
In his debut Premier League campaign, Buendia created 3.3 chances per game – only Kevin de Bruyne boasted a better return last season (Football London).

The report claims Arteta is a big admirer of Buendia but talks have yet to take place. At a time when Arsenal are desperate for a talented creator, signing the Norwich City man makes a lot of sense.
Arsenal supporters are praying for a creative addition in the transfer window. Buendia is an exciting option, and many fans would love to see him at the Emirates in January.
