Leeds United have had a spectacular season, and Luciano Becchio believes that Andrea Radrizzani deserves a lot of praise for their progression.
The likes of Marcelo Bielsa, Victor Orta and the players have received all sorts of plaudits this term, but Becchio has singled out Radrizzani for praise after the Whites secured a top-half finish in the Premier League.
To be fair, Becchio is absolutely right about Radrizzani.
The Italian is the man responsible for bringing Bielsa to Yorkshire, and while he has brilliant team working around him, he’s still the man fronting up the money and bringing in the players.
Radrizzani wasn’t shy when it came to getting his wallet out in the summer, spending almost £100m, and the likes of Raphinha, Diego Llorente and Rodrigo were key in Leeds’ success this term.
Whether or not the Whites can replicate their immense showings this term remains to be seen, but one thing is for sure, they’ll have an owner who is willing to put his heart and soul into getting the club back where it belongs.
The San Fransico 49ers’ increased investment will help Leeds take their next steps, but it’s Radrizzani’s ownership that has brought them such a long way to this point.
